Alison Conroy

Alison Conroy is the Director of Global Sustainability at Novelis, where is responsible for identifying actionable opportunities for decarbonization and executing the company’s sustainability roadmap. She has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and biorenewable resources and technology. Alison has been in the sustainability field for over 15 years, previously working in corn processing, pulp and paper, and now aluminum. She is also the Sustainability Chair of Alumobility, a global ecosystem of the leading aluminum and enabling downstream technology partners. In this role, Alison oversees the development of Life Cycle Assessment tools and their use in the association’s technical studies.

Ross Strachan

Ross re-joined CRU in August 2020 and was subsequently promoted to Lead Analyst, Aluminium, Primary and Recycled Metal. Between 2004 and 2009 he worked for CRU, initially joining as a research analyst for the aluminium team and latterly becoming principal price risk advisor for the price risk management team. Subsequently, he worked for Capital Economics, Thomson Reuters and GFMS in analytical roles covering a variety of metals markets as well as presenting to industry gatherings. Ross will be based in our London office and holds a Masters in Economics from Heriot-Watt University.

Julie Al-Saadawi

 Julie Al-Saadawi has 2 decades of experience with International Trade Administration at the U.S. Commerce Department.  She and her team follow the global aluminum and steel industries and support related policy work.  She developed the public U.S. import monitoring systems for steel and aluminum and led the effort to add information about which country the original metal inputs used in these imports were sourced.   Julie was a consultant prior to joining the government.

Klaudia Michalska

Klaudia Michalska joined Aluminium Stewardship Initiative as an Impacts Analyst in 2021. She is responsible for the collection and analysis of quantitative data from ASI's Certification program, and in particular coordinating ASI's Certified Entities' Annual Reporting on Chain of Custody Material flow along the aluminium value chain. Previously, she worked at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and WWF. She has a master’s degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and a bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Warsaw.
