Jody Hall is the vice president, automotive program for the American Iron and Steel Institute, where she is responsible for leadership of the Automotive Applications Council, a group of member steel producers, in automotive research, education and technology transfer activities. She also coordinates the steel input to the Auto/Steel Partnership (which has car company members including FCA US LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company), and other steel-related consortia. Prior to joining AISI, Dr. Hall spent more than 30 years with General Motors, with responsibilities ranging from research and development of new materials and manufacturing processes to solving production problems. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy and Master of Science in materials science and engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science in materials & metallurgical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Panos Kotseras is CRU’s lead stainless steel market analyst and Editor of Stainless Steel Flat Products Market Outlook and Stainless Steel Flat Products Monitor. Panos started his career in commercial roles with copper and aluminium fabricators in the 2000s. He joined CRU in 2008 as a copper demand and wire & cable analyst. Panos moved to CRU’s NiSSSA team (Nickel, Stainless Steel and Special Alloys) in 2011, assuming the lead analyst role for cobalt and molybdenum. In 2015, Panos moved on to Rio Tinto Copper focusing on marketing intelligence analysis in the space of copper by-products, especially molybdenum. He rejoined CRU in 2018. Panos holds a first degree in Economics, an MSc in Finance and Commodities, and an MBA.
