Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer,
Alcoa Timothy (Tim) Reyes was appointed to the new position as Alcoa Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer as of November 1, 2019. In this role, he is creating customer-focused commercial strategies across the bauxite, alumina, aluminum and energy markets as well as Alcoa’s global procurement function. In addition, Tim is responsible for business development, with a focus on new areas of growth; strategic analysis and planning; supply chain management; and customer service. Tim is also a member of the Alcoa Executive Team, the group that sets the strategic direction of the company.
Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Alcoa and President, Aluminum, the business comprised of the Company’s smelting, castings, rolled products and most of its energy assets.
At former parent Alcoa Inc. beginning in 1999, Tim held a series of commercial leadership positions, including President, Alcoa Cast Products, responsible for the company’s global operations that produce high-value differentiated aluminum products, and President, Alcoa Materials Management, where he oversaw commodity price risk, metal procurement and logistics. He previously led the Alcoa Inc. metal management group in Europe and was responsible for various commercial organizations within both Alcoa World Alumina and Alcoa Primary Products.
Earlier, Tim held trading positions with F&S International, a subsidiary of STINNES/VEBA (now EON) and co-founded the Tricor Group, both based in New York City.
Tim currently serves on the Board of Directors of Purity Zinc Metals, Inc., the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Aluminum Association, and is a member of the London Metal Exchange’s Physical Market Committee. In addition, he has previously served as an industry member of the London Metal Exchange’s Aluminum and Warehouse Committees, as well as the Aluminum Association’s Recycling Committee. His nonprofit work included serving on the Board of Directors of the East Tennessee Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum.
Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College.
