Founded in 1964 by Charles Becht III, the company initially served industrial clients and the building sector. In the six decades since our inception, Becht’s focus has evolved to providing central engineering services to the energy sector, including oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, industrial gas, ammonia/ fertilizer, and power. Additionally, we offer specialized support for innovative energy transition technologies such as green hydrogen and ammonia, biomass conversion, renewable fuels co-processing, and other alternative energy processes.
Now led by the third generation of the Becht family, our team includes numerous world-class technical specialists, many of whom have retired after stellar careers with major owner-operator organizations. We hold nearly 150 positions on ASME, API, ASCE, ASTM, and other codes and standards committees, including many leadership roles.
