Fluid-Coking and Flexi-Coking

NEW at RefComm Galveston 2025 | April 30 - May 1, 2025

Announcing a new Fluid-Coking & Flexi-Coking Program at RefComm Galveston!

Exclusive opportunity to join the global fluid/flexi-coking community in sharing best practices, pioneering equipment strategies, and much more.

Since 2001, RefComm has set the gold standard for conferences on delayed coking technology, equipment, and operational best practices. Over the past decade, we've broadened our scope to cover other critical technologies like FCC, SRU, and resid hydrocracking (ebullated bed).

Now, we're thrilled to unveil the newest highlight of our conference: fluid-coking and flexi-coking technologies. These groundbreaking processes, merging elements of coking and FCC, represent the pinnacle of bottom-of-the-barrel conversion technologies. Though there are fewer than 20 units globally, their unmatched continuous processing capabilities and minimal solid product output deliver exceptional yields and conversions.

Operators of these sophisticated units navigate unique challenges, from managing erosion and hot spots in reactors and regenerators to tackling extreme fouling. RefComm Galveston 2025 is your exclusive opportunity to join the global fluid/flexi-coking community in sharing best practices, pioneering equipment strategies, and much more.

Be a part of RefComm Galveston 2025, where you'll network with industry experts, gain invaluable insights, and help drive the future of these cutting-edge technologies.

Expectations for the Session

2 Days focused on the End User

This program is built upon the legacy user's group facilitated by ExxonMobil and then by Axens. RefComm is proud to act as host and will strive to recreate the same high quality event.

Honoring RefComm's long commitment to featuring highly technical content from global refinery personnel, the Fluid-Coking and Flexi-Coking program will focus on knowledge shared by the end users. Featuring presentations, workshops, and breakout sessions,  attendees are expected to contribute to the conversation by sharing:

  • Unit Overviews and Descriptions
  • Unit Constraints
  • Turnaround Experiences and Schedules
  • Troubleshooting Experiences
  • Best Practices
  • Safety /Reliability Problems and Solutions

The Call for Presentations is now open. Submit your abstract: https://events.crugroup.com/Refcomm/call-for-papers
