Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam is located on the tip of Java Island, and one of the first energy-neutral hotels in the Netherlands, with transparent glass facades and a unique 30 meter high wooden main supporting structure. Beams, columns, ceilings and frames are made of natural wood with FSC or PEFC quality mark. The chosen sustainable materials are of such quality that most walls and ceilings remain unfinished, so that the solid wood construction system remains visible. Almost no use is made of finishing materials that have a short lifespan or that are not recyclable, almost all elements can be reused by dismantling. In addition to the sustainable shell of the hotel, many energy-saving measures are used, such as collecting rainwater for watering the inner garden. Solar energy is collected via PV panels in the facade and roof of the atrium and converted into electricity for heating the shower water. The hotel itself is cooled and heated by means of a heat and cold storage system.
** !! WARNING !! **CRU has not, and would never, appoint an agency to handle hotel bedroom sales on our behalf. We block a number of rooms for our event which you can directly book via a special web link at a preferred conference rate, which will be sent to you once you have registered. If you are approached by a company called "Expo Housing Service" or "Convention Housing Services" or "Exhibition Housing Services", or "EHRS" for bedroom bookings – these companies are NOT recommended by CRU - we strongly advise that you do NOT book any rooms with them. They cannot guarantee your booking and may charge you with additional fees that make them more expensive than they pretend to be.
