Chris has 22 years' experience in the steel industry and joined CRU in April 2008 following a ten-year career at Tata Steel. At Tata, Chris worked in technical mill-based roles and in commercial functions at both business unit and corporate level.

Latterly, Chris moved to Tata Steel's Corporate Strategy department where he was responsible for the group's industry analysis and steel price forecasting. Chris currently leads CRU's Analysis division, responsible for CRU's price, forecasting, cost and emissions subscription services for metals, mining, fertilizers, financial, government, NGO and downstream sectors. Before then, he led CRU's Steel Team where he was previously an analyst and editor of leading services. Here he also presented and debated at renowned industry conferences, provided expert witness testimony and has been widely quoted in the media.

Chris has a BSc (Hons) in Applied Physics from the University of Durham, a postgraduate diploma in Industrial Sales & Marketing from Loughborough University, is Chartered Institute of Marketing-qualified, and has an MBA with distinction from Warwick Business School in the UK.

Danwu (Wendy) Chen joined CRU Consulting London in October 2017. She relocated to Shanghai office in 2020. Wendy is Senior Consultant with finance and economics background. Since joining CRU, Wendy has been involved in a wide range of projects, covering commodities such as steel, cobalt, copper, aluminium, and project types such as market strategy, valuation and industry research.

She has extensive experience with projects that are focusing on steelmaking raw materials market and battery metals. Before joining CRU, Wendy has gained finance experience in China Construction Bank. Wendy holds a BSc in Financial Engineering, the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing and has a Master's in Economics, the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Wendy is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Erik Hedborg previously worked as an analyst in the iron ore industry with special focus on the pellet market and China. Erik speaks fluent Chinese and holds a MSc from the Lulea University of Technology in Sweden and an MA from the Berlin School of Economics and Law.

Alexis joined the Insight Team at Kpler in March 2023. Based in London, he has more than ten years’ experience in dry bulk commodity and freight research. Alexis is leading the development of dry bulk research at Kpler. This includes analysis of coal, iron ore, and freight markets. In addition to studying market developments and constructing supply, demand, and pricing outlooks, his work includes presenting to clients, speaking at industry events, and supporting the development of Kpler’s dry bulks data offering. Before joining Kpler, Alexis was a Director at shipbroker Simpson Spence Young, where he was part of the SSY Consultancy & Research team.

Lv Zhong is Secretary General of the Internet of Things Technology and Application and Digital Warehousing Professional Committee of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. He has a master's degree of EMBA from HEC Business School of France. More than 20 years experience in the investment, operation, and digital system construction of bulk commodity, especially in the fields of  warehousing, transportation, e-commerce and logistics parks in steel industry. He has led the formulation of many industry standards in the national logistics fields.
