NISCO has a complete and mature set of iron-making, steel-making, steel rolling, heat treatment and finishing equipment with approved and up-to-date technologies. There are 3 plate production lines (2800mm medium plate mill, 3500mm wide plate/coil mill and 5000mm wide and heavy plate mill), which cover all sizes of plate products from narrow to wide and from thin to thick.

The main equipment includes hot metal pretreatment furnace, three 150-ton converters, three LF150-ton refining furnaces, lwo150-ton RH vacuum degassing furnaces and three continuous casting machines. The hot metal pretreatment system can adopt compound of magnesium powder and lime or single magnesium powder to desulfurization.

The converter has the technology of top-bottom blowing, sub-lance, automatic blowing model and laser measurement of furnace wall thickness. The refining furnace has double-ladle car. The RH vacuum degassing furnace has functions of de-carbonization, de-hydrogenation and heating. Continuous casting machine has the technology of continuous bending and straightening, the whole process multi-fulcrum roller, soft reduction, electromagnetic stirring and on-line width adjustment. The slab size is 150mm, 180mm, 220mm, 260mm, 320 mm thick and 1600-3300 mm wide.

3500mm plate/coil production line

Wide Plate/Coil Mill. The main equipment includes walking beam reheating furnace, high-pressure descaling system, 3500mm Steckel mill, controlled cooling system, down coiler, leveler, automatic cooling bed, double side trimming shear, dividing shear, automatic marking machine, automatic defects detector and heat treatment facilities (normalizing furnace, quenching machine and tempering machine). The product size range is T(5-60mm) x W(1600-3250mm) x L (4000-24000mm) and the coil product size is T(5-20mm) x W(1600-2500mm), the maximum weight is 45.3 tons and the normal weight is 20-35 tons.

5000mm plate production line

Wide and Heavy Plate Mill. The main equipment includes two walking beam reheating furnaces, two ingot reheating furnaces, one set of 5000mm four-high rolling mill, one set of pre- leveler, one set of controlled cooling device (DQ+ACC), three walking beam cooling beds, one set of hot leveler, one crop shear, one double side trimming shear, one dividing shear, one set of automatical ultrasonic testing device from GE and one heat treatment line (normalizing furnace, quenching machine and tempering machine). The product size range is thick (8-300mm) x width (1800-4700mm).

2800mm plate production line

2800mm plate production line A typical and traditional Medium Plate Mill. The main equipment includes walking beam reheating furnace, high-pressure descaling system, 2800mm roughing mill, 2700mm finishing mill, controlled cooling system, leveler, automatic cooling bed, double side trimming shear, dividing shear, automatic marking machine and automatic defects detector. The product size range is thick (6-100mm) x width (1600-2500mm) x length (5000-13000mm).
