The SMU Steel Summit has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, growing from 434 attendees in 2016 to more than 1100 in-person and virtual attendees in 2021.
Representing more than 400 companies from the North American Steel Market, attendees gather at the event to learn what the future holds and to network and do business.

What can you expect in 2022?

  • Networking: The Summit has an intimate and safe environment where people can meet to develop or cement relationships. It’s the perfect place to showcase your products and services to an engaged audience who come to the event with a ‘ready to do business’ mindset
  • Insights and analysis: learn from experts in the fields of economics and market analysis, banking, commodities, international trade and regulation, steel, and the auto, construction and energy markets, about topics critical to the North American Steel Market, to apply to your strategy and decision-making.
  • Understand where steel prices and commodities are headed in 2021 and why.
  • Conveniently located at a world-class conference facility, adjacent to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport: low airfares, and easy access.

Who attends?

95% of attendees are actively associated with the flat rolled steel industry in North America and around the world: they are decision-makers from manufacturing companies, distribution, trading, steel mills, wholesalers, toll processors, and logistics.

Whilst the vast majority of attendees are based in the US, the Summit also has attracted attendees based in Canada, South America, Europe, India, and the Middle East.
