About the Event

MEScon is intended to ‘connect the dots’ – to maximize utilization of current local experience and expertise via networking and to provide access to the knowledge and resources of the global sulphur community. The goal is to foster enduring, cooperative relationships between sour gas and sulphur plant operators across the Middle East, Central Asia, and the world. The agenda will have a strong technical focus, supplemented by scene setting presentations led by CRU analysts and industry thought-leaders covering sulphur market dynamics and the role of sulphur in the energy transition.

The technical agenda content will be guided by the Executive Committee of industry experts. The focus of the technical agenda is to promote discussion and knowledge sharing in support of continual improvements in HSE, reliability, efficiency and general best practices in the production of sour gas and sulphur.

MEScon Connect will stay true to the core MEScon experience.

Attendees can expect:

  • - The same high-quality technical programmeInteractive workshops
  • - Signature networking events
  • - The focus will remain on all things sour gas and sulphur. From gas treating, sulphur recovery, handling and forming to environmental performance and operational excellence.
  •

The conference will also place greater emphasis on the regional commercial landscape, including market dynamics, project developments, and trade flows unique to Central Asia.  Attendees can look forward to the familiar MEScon-style social gatherings that foster genuine connection across the global sulphur community.

Central Asia represents the second-largest sulphur-producing region globally and plays an increasingly vital role in shaping the sulphur value chain, both through its production capacity and its links to major downstream markets such as China.

Devoted to exploring best practice operations across the entire sour gas and sulphur value chain.

Join the debate this June to share know-how and best practice with industry peers

MEScon is where the sulphur  and sour gas community meet to discuss and debate the key strategic themes  driving the industry

Subjects covered will include:

  • Sulphur recovery in the context of the Energy Transition
  • Sour gas production challenges and best practices
  • SRU/TGTU operational best practices
  • SRU/TGTU energy efficiency
  • SRU/TGTU corrosion and long-term integrity

  • Increased recovery efficiency for legacy SRUs
  • Non-sulphur emissions from SRUs – CO2, CO, NOx
  • Sulphur handling best practices
  • Long-term sulphur supply/demand outlook
