In his current role, Mr. Abdulmunim Al Kindi provides overall direction and
leadership to all functions within the Upstream Directorate (Exploration
& Upstream Information Management, Development, Production, Planning,
Undeveloped Reservoir Projects, Unconventional Hydrocarbon Resources) for
the ADNOC group, while being accountable for the overall design,
implementation and enhancement of related group wide strategies, key
performance indicators and business plans for the functions within the
Directorate, including the OPCOs in line with the ADNOC group’s business
plan, vision, mission and national mandate to drive the discovery
and optimal development of Abu Dhabi’s hydrocarbon resources and achieve
investment and stakeholder mandates while enhancing asset performance and
creating synergies across functions to achieve world class technology
Mohammed Abdulrhman Al Abdulqader is the Director of Gas Operations, Technical Support Department at Saudi Aramco.
Graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering a Master of Business Administration, Mohammed spent many years at Saudi Aramco’s Gas Operations. His main areas of expertise are built around gas processing operations and maintenance, operational excellent, project management, and strategies development and implementation.
Mohammed is proud of leading various initiatives related to HR development, facility maintenance and engineering, and projects planning and execution In addition, he was one of those who worked one stablishing Saudi Aramco’s Upstream HSE strategy following its implementation But, without a doubt, one of his major achievements was leading and being Part of teams which commissioned three mega gas plants.
In his free time, Mohammed is a bookworm who enjoys writing.
Fahad Al Wahedi has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas business. He graduated from Arizona State University as a Chemical Engineer and holds a PMI certificate. During his career, he has worked in operations and process engineering and he served as project manager in ADNOC Gas Processing and Bab Gas Development where he managed pre-FEED and FEED projects from small to mega projects; including license selection and engineering works.
Currently, he is Acting SVP Projects & Technical in ADNOC Sour Gas where he heads efficiency and optimization studies and value creation activities for the plant, which is one of the largest ultra-sour gas plants in the world, equipped with the world’s largest sulphur recovery trains. In addition, he is leading the technical authority entity within the company.
Sulaiman Al Seiari leads the site operations of one of the
largest ultra-sour gas processing facilities worldwide, the Shah Gas Plant. He
joined ADNOC Sour Gas coming from other ADNOC Subsidiary, ADNOC Gas Processing
where he spent more than 20 years occupying several positions during this
tenure. He has an extensive experience in sour gas operations, and he was
instrumental in successfully commissioning of 1.4 Billion Standard Cubic Feet
per Day (BSCFD) Gas Processing plant, which is one of the largest and most
modern facilities in the region in 2013.
He has also participated in oversea project
assignments in Japan, UK, Netherlands, and Spain. One of his strengths is his
great expertise in gas plant performance enhancement, value generation and
process safety with a long record of remarkable achievements. One of his
achievements generates few USD millions annually which is Habshan-5 Rich Train
Academically, he holds a degree in Chemical
engineering and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), both
graduation with distinction. As a result of his outstanding performance, he was
awarded Abu Dhabi’s Industrial Award for the best chemical engineering graduate
Mr. Mohamad Bara Adi has recently joined ADNOC Sour Gas as VP,
Technical Services (Engineering). He has more than 27 years of diverse and
extensive experience in Projects Management and Engineering.
He has been leading many teams of professional engineers responsible
for field development from conceptual through FEED and detail engineering. As a
member of the Senior Management Team, he tremendously contributes towards
developing the Company's strategy and business plan required for efficient
development and delivery of successful projects.
Being a team player, self-motivated, educated and trained to think and
lead projects safely within budget and schedule, he has successfully led and
delivered many projects in ADNOC since he joined for over 21 years now.
Mohamad Bara has graduated with BSc (Honors) Electrical Engineering then has completed MSc
Degree in Water Resources.
Ali Al Hendi is the Vice President of Engineering
& Technical Services division of ADNOC Gas Processing. Mr. Ali, who began
his illustrious career in 2001, is an engineering & projects specialist
with more than 2 decades of vast experience in the domain of process
Prior to his current leadership role, he has served as a Manager of Engineering
Servicers, Projects expert and Maintenance specialist, strongly supporting
asset expansion of ADNOC Gas Processing.
He began his career with Maintenance in the year 2001 as Mechanical Engineer
and carried out various Maintenance activities in Habshan & Bab Plant.
After his stint in Maintenance, he moved to Technical Projects and played
crucial roles to support various key projects and plant modifications. From
2012, he has responsibly managed managerial roles of HQ Engineering and driven
engineering function to greater heights of credibility and success.
He has made an outstanding contribution over the years and won numerous awards
including Unsung Hero of TE Division, Employee of the year, Energy Award, etc.
Mr. Ali has bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
Angie has over 25 years of experience working in the oil and gas business, primarily focused on sulphur recovery and sour gas treating. She has served as sulphur technology manager for two of the world’s leading sulphur technology licensing firms and has been involved in the delivery of several world-class projects. In 2014, Angie launched UniverSUL Consulting, a consulting firm which provides unbiased technical and strategy advice to the sour oil and gas industry. Angie has published numerous papers and is a member of several international conference committees. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for ASRL.
Dr Harrisson has worked on CRU’s Sulphur and Sulphuric Acid analysis since joining the company in early 2011 and is Head of the Sulphur team. He also works across other nutrient areas, including both market and cost analysis. Prior to joining CRU, Dr Harrisson completed a PhD in Industrial Chemistry at Durham University.
Ionut (Johnny) has been with CRU since 2007 and is responsible for CRU Consulting’s advisory work in decarbonization, policy support and portfolio strategy.
Ionut brings to this role a wealth of experience in dealing with clients’ strategic challenges gained from spending the last decade as CRU’s head representative in diverse and sensitive regions for the commodity industries, including East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Russia and Europe.
He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Political Philosophy and a Master of Arts degree in Social and Political Science, both from Cambridge University. He is fluent in Romanian, Italian and Japanese, and also speaks French.
An electrical and electronics engineer and MBA by qualification, Raza Soomar is Founder and CEO of multinational, RNZ Group head quartered in UAE. The company is engaged in specialty fertilizer production in technical collaboration with Shell. Its state-of-the-art research station is developing futuristic bio-tech inputs to mitigate the emerging challenging conditions. Sustainability is close to his heart, and today has evolved as a lead Next-Gen Agri Tech solutions provider through its circular production.
Alsail Al Jaberi holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Khalifa University. She is currently working as a Process Engineer assigned to the Sulfur Recovery Units and handles all related projects in ADNOC Sour Gas (ASG) under the Projects & Technical Services division . During her four-years' experience in oil and gas industry, she has been actively involved in major projects and expansion activities within the organization. Involvement in multiple shut down activities & working as a site engineer in addition to her daily/routine process engineering tasks. Also, she is ASG focal point for Middle East Sulphur Conference.
Ravi has 35
years of experience in Gas Processing & Petroleum Refining in the areas of
Technology Licensing, Process Modeling, Engineering, Technical Services, Plant
Operations and Catalyst Sales. He has held various management positions in
major technology/engineering and operating companies, including Worley, DuPont,
BASF, QP and HPCL. He is currently working as Process Manager in ADNOC Sour
Mohammed, a Canadian of Indo-Trinidad decent, was born and raised in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Forever grateful, he
started his career with Sulfur Recovery Engineering with an opportunity from
Mr. John O’Connell.
Now 15 years in the
Oil & Gas Industry, he has assisted over 50 different facilities worldwide
in increasing their reliability and their efficiency. Likewise, with the backing of the SRE team,
he has completed over 140 different project including troubleshooting,
performance evaluation, start-up and shutdown support, trace sulfur analysis,
and capacity & dynamic evaluations for various amine and sulfur processes.
Dr. Anand Govindarajan received his B. Tech. from Anna University (India),
and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Oklahoma State University (USA), all in
chemical engineering. Anand has diverse experience spread across various
organizations and countries in environmental engineering, renewable energy,
distillation, gas treating, Sulphur recovery, and advanced process control. Dr.
Govindarajan has led/conducted trainings on gas treating and Sulphur recovery
for dozens of engineers in India, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and USA.
Presently Dr. Govindarajan is the Director of 310i Technologies in Vizag,
India, which is the exclusive service partner for all Optimized Gas Treating
products in the SE Asia, Indian sub-continent, Middle East and North Africa
regions. Prior to this assignment Dr. Govindarajan has been part of VA Tech
WABAG, SSN Research Centre, Sun to Market Solutions, Fractionation Research
Inc, and Optimized Gas Treating in various capacities. Dr. Govindarajan was
also Co-Chair of the Separations Division of the American Institute of Chemical
Engineers, and was also on the panel of the Board of Studies of SSN College of
Igor Kostromin is a Licensing Manager and Business Developer at
Topsoe A/S. Mr Kostromin graduated from Industrial University of Tyumen,
Russia, B.Sc. in Eng, and continued his professional
education at the Moscow Higher School of Economics. Since joining Topsoe in
2014, he has been instrumental in developing Topsoe’s Clean Air technology
business in MENA and CIS.
Uday N. Parekh is Senior Global Director, Energy and Chemicals at
Blasch Precision Ceramics where he is responsible for deployment of Blasch’s
innovative products and solutions to these industries. He has over 25 years of
experience in the Sulphur Recovery industry and in combustion applications.
Parekh was with Air Products, a leading industrial gas company, where he led
refinery applications development and technical sales for several years
including SRU oxygen enrichment. Subsequently, he was Vice President, Sales and
Marketing at Goar, Allison & Associates, Inc, an Air Products subsidiary.
His experience in the sulphur block extends to sulphur degassing and sulphur
forming through his time at GAA and later with Devco, now Matrix PDM Engineering.
Mr. Parekh holds patents and has presented and published extensively in the
industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Bombay, master’s degrees in Chemical and in Fuels
Engineering from the University of Utah, and an MBA from Lehigh University in
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in science and Business Management from Utrecht University. He has been with Euro Support for over eight years, in which he has been responsible for the business development and technical aspect of the Euro Support sulphur recovery catalysts. During his time at Euro Support he has been published in the CRU Sulphur Magazine and presented at numerous conferences, including MESPON, CRU Sulphur and Brimstone Vail.
Islam Heikal graduated from the American University
in Cairo with a BSc in Petroleum Engineering. He has sales and business development
experience in the oil and gas upstream and downstream sectors and currently is
the MENA Region Technology Adviser for Daily Thermetrics, assisting in all
matter pertaining thermometry solutions in the refining and petrochemical
industries in the region.
Afya Abdulla Al Hammadi is an Emirati woman that currently serve as a senior specialist in ADNOC, holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Sharjah University, where gained a solid foundation in applying engineering principles to solve industrial challenges. Prior to joining ADNOC, she have accumulated valuable experience in the field with the roles she had. Rob Marriott is the Alberta Sulphur Research Ltd (ASRL) Director of Research (DOR) and the NSERC ASRL Industrial Research Chair in Applied Sulfur Chemistry. He is responsible for guiding the ASRL Core research program and teaches as an Associate Professor within the Department of Chemistry. His current research interests range from applied chemical thermodynamics of complex systems, souring of reservoir fluids, sulfur deposition, hydrate formation, sulfur recovery and high-pressure fluid purification. Prior to taking over as DOR, he spent 8 years with ASRL as a Research Scientist and Project Manager and 5 years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. He has authored over 50 published research papers, more than 100 conference presentations and over 130 confidential research contract reports.
Dr. Pramod D. Patil has 17 years of experience in sustainability, technology development and deployment in O&G and petrochemical industry. He is currently leading the H2S to H2 initiative and technologies related decarbonization of O&G industry such as direct sequestration (CCUS) and alternate sequestration at Aramco.
Previously Dr. Patil held a position as a Global Technical Leader at The Dow Chemical Company, Houston, TX for 12 years and managed a CCUS and IOR/EOR technology portfolio. He led 20+ field implementations globally, launched 22 products, published over 60 journal and conference papers and 14 patent applications (USPTO). He holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, a master’s in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, and an undergraduate in chemical engineering from Shivaji University, India.
Asma Al Blooshi is currently working as a Senior Analyst, Operation Performance Tracking in ADNOC Refining. By education, she is a Chemical Engineer from Petroleum Institute in the year 2016 with a GPA of 3.75. Soon after which, in 2017 she started her career in ADNOC Refining under the Supply Chain Management Division.
Following her penchant for studies, she started her postgraduate studies (part-time) in Chemical Engineering at Khalifa University in the same year. In her academic journey, Asma focused on studying promising Hydrogen production technologies. Her thesis topic was "Solar thermochemical splitting of Hydrogen Sulfide to Hydrogen". Working in Green Hydrogen has not only enhanced her subject knowledge but has also created her avid interest in playing an instrumental role in expanding the Hydrogen value chain in the UAE.
Mohammad is a Research Engineer working at Saudi Aramco Research and Development Center since 2013, focusing on gas processing research. He holds a bachelor degree in chemical engineering and a master degree in materials science and engineering, both from KFUPM. Mohammad also holds a PhD in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Prior joining Aramco, he worked as Project Engineer at SABIC. His research interest includes heterogenous catalysis, cold plasma, desulfurization, H2 production, and gas separation membranes.
Elena is a Technical Manager at BASF’s Gas Treatment Team. In her role, she provides technical and commercial support to both Pre- and Post-Combustion CO2 capture plants. She specializes on Technology selection, design and modeling, commissioning, and operation troubleshooting.
Elena holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow. Elena has 10 years of experience in the industry, primarily in natural gas and syngas processing and has been part of multiple Mega Projects in the Middle East and Central Asia region.
This masterclass focuses on specific topical items in gas treatment, including: Foaming, CO2 Capture, COS and Mercaptan removal, Selective Treatment, Flexsorb™ and Digitalization. relationship management in the oil & gas industry across the Middle East,

Engineering and support some of the world's largest energy companies. He has
helped design / optimize / debottleneck amine & sulfur plants in over 15
countries, across 4 continents, and trained over 3000 engineers in industry best

The Process Engineering & Simulation Fundamentals of SRU & TGTU course hosted by Bryan Research & Engineering LLC will cover a detailed discussion of industrially relevant processes used in sulfur recovery and tail gas cleanup unitts. The operating principles of these units will be presented using plant representative simulation models, as well as an exploration of the rationale for common variations seen in these process units.
This one-day course will also cover the effective methods for process design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Its purpose is to provide participants with the information and understanding necessary to confidently make critical decisions regarding their own processes.
The course will begin by going through a straight-through basic Claus unit and understanding the importance and operation of each section of an SRU – acid gas burner, waste heat boiler, condensers, reheaters, hydrolyzing & general converters. Important plant indicators like overall sulfur recovery percentage, tail gas ratio, ammonia/hydrocarbon destruction, COS/CS2 formation and destruction etc., will also be discussed. It then transitions into exploring several different tail gas cleanup (TGCU) methods using case studies, comparing the resulting sulfur recoveries and the impact on plant SOx emissions. Next, a thorough discussion will be done on low pressure tail gas treating amine sweetening units and the reaction chemistry behind CO2 slip vs H2S pickup & recycle. The remaining time will introduce the concepts of heat exchanger rating and mass & heat flux calculations and the ability to utilize the power of process simulation for either controlling the performance of heat exchangers or designing / operating waste heat boilers.
Each attendee will go back with a technical manual specially prepared by the team at Bryan Research & Engineering LLC on plant design, optimization, and process simulation fundamentals of sulfur recovery.

Saqib Sajjad is leading the energy efficiency and decarbonization drive at ADNOC Gas Processing. Mr Sajjad is an industrial energy efficiency expert and has led numerous studies and initiatives and contributed to energy efficiency improvement at the operating facilities as well as in the projects.
He has contributed in developing the energy policy & strategy, conceptualized & established the unit-level energy performance benchmarking, and introduced the integrated energy optimization model in projects. He is actively working on waste heat recovery and integration of renewable energy in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Mr Sajjad won the Energy Engineer of the Year award for the Middle East Region in 2016, the National Excellence Award in 2017, the Best Paper Award at the SOGAT Conference in 2019, and the AEE’s Energy Innovator of the Year International Award in 2020. With Masters in Chemical Engineering and MBA, he is also a Chartered Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, and Certified Measurement & Verification Professional.
Weiner is the Process Engineer at 8 Rivers leading the technical development of
the TarT sour gas sweetening process. He is currently overseeing the
process modeling, validation, and experimental work surrounding this
technology. Previously, he worked on the development of thermochemical
conversion systems for biofuel synthesis. This involved the design and
operation of bench-to-pilot scale systems. He has degrees in Chemistry
and Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Bader Alotaibi is a
striving process engineer working at Khursaniyah Gas Plant, Saudi Aramco. He
graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor degree in
chemical engineering and a minor in chemistry. He has experience in multiple
gas processing related fields; including sulfur recovery and handling,
dehydration, and gas sweetening. Bader is FE certified, and also works as an
energy coordinator handling plant wide energy management activities that
include overall plant energy efficiency.

Mr. Yousef Al-Sairafi is working as Senior Process Engineer for the Sulfur Block Facilities in KNPC-Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery, Kuwait. He has extensive experience in Sour gas and Sour condensate processing facilities, Sulfur recovery unit, tail gas treatment unit, Hydrogen Unit, Tanks Farm and SOLOMON (Energy Intensity Index) for Hole Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery through Visual Mesa programing.
A fresh chemical engineering graduate from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Since graduation, he has been working as a sulfur process engineer at the Sulfur Recovery Unit in Uthmaniyah Gas Plant. He is also an active member of the Saudi Energy Leaders Assembly (SELA) and Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
Amer Alsaiari works as Process Engineer for Saudi Aramco and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia). He has been working as a process engineer for 3.5 years in Wasit Gas Plant (WGP) . Mr Alsaiari is interested in several areas: Inlets Unit, Gas Treating Unit, Sulfur Recovery Unit and utility unit. Also, he is also interested and has some experience on circular economy fields applications at Saudi Aramco with the main goal of finding solutions with the best technologies to handle the spent catalyst in environmentally friendly method.

Manakhov is Sustainable Innovations Thrust Champion at Aramco Innovations
Moscow Research Center. His research areas involve the development of
sustainable nanomaterials, efficient hydrogen storage, and H2S conversion into
hydrogen. Anton also specializes in water treatment and recycling, making him a
valuable asset to his team. Having received a PhD in Physics from the
University of Namur (Belgium) in 2012, Anton has authored more than 80 journal
publications with 1500+ citations, co-authored 5+ patents, and presented 20+
conference papers. His primary areas of expertise include surface science,
plasma chemistry, catalysis, and nanomaterials.
Mr Mohamed Yahaya started his career journey in Sulphur Technology from 2018 since starting up PRefChem new plant. In PRefChem, he had started from pre-commissioning, commissioning, and starting up the plant. He had led the 300kb Refinery Integrated Amine Degreasing which consist of 7,000 m3 system. He had gained lot of experience through challenges in starting new plant which to suit existing operating plant. He had performed series of process troubleshooting which been raised through plant stabilization.
Sarbendu Kar has 17 years of
experience with RIL. He has experience of commissioning, startup & steady
state operation of 2nd Refinery Sulfur Complex.
He was also involved in conceptualizing,
commissioning, startup & steady state operation of Gasification Sulfur complex
(100% Oxygen enriched SRU units).
Alok Dwivedi is a Chemical Engineer currently
associated with Reliance Industries Limited, Jamnagar having a total experience
of ~9.5 years in Technical services. He has experience of Ammonia, H2SO4 Plant
& steady state operation of Gasification Sulfur Complex and Flare system.
He is involved in monitoring steady state
operation and troubleshooting of Gasification Sulfur complex (100% Oxygen
enriched SRU units), Having hands on with simulation tools like Promax and
Unisim, involved in implementation of various Profit improvement opportunities and
MOC’s in Sulfur Complex.
Rizwan Masood Ahmed is working as Process Specialist in Acid
Gas Removal Facilities at KNPC- Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery, Kuwait.
He has extensive experience in Sour gas and Sour condensate processing
facilities, Sulfur recovery unit, tail gas treatment unit in addition to
Ammonia plant, Hydrogen and Utilities.
He holds Chemical Engineering degree from Anna University with Master of
Science in Engineering Management.
Sara Al-Katheeri holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. She has around 9 years of experience in the field of Process Engineering primarily focused on Oil & Gas sector. Sara joined ADNOC Gas in 2013 and currently working as a Sr. Process Engineer in Engineering and Technical Services Division. She is supporting AG projects for Gas Processing & NGL Plant. Moreover, Sara has a solid background for working in granulated Sulphur handling facilities.
Pankaj Kumar holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He has around 17 years of experience in the field of process engineering primarily focused on Oil & Gas and Refinery sector. Pankaj joined ADNOC Gas in 2019 and currently working as a Process Engineer in Engineering and Technical Services Division. Prior to joining ADNOC Gas, Pankaj worked with Larsen & Toubro Limited, Fluor Daniel, Tebodin as Senior/Lead Process Engineer for Study/FEED/EPC Projects. During his tenure in ADNOC gas, Pankaj has significant exposure to Sulphur Processes.
Gerton has worked for more than 20 years as a Process
Engineer in the Sulfur Recovery industry initially based out of the Netherlands
later in Calgary, Canada.
Both with Comprimo and Sulphur Experts in the past
Gerton has executed numerous basic and detailed engineering designs and many
troubleshooting, start-up, shut-down and testing assignments which has brought
him to more than 45 countries around the world.
Gerton's favourite SRU topics are commissioning and

Bob Poteet has over 35 years’ experience in selling to the energy
industries. Bob is one of the pioneers in Radial Temperature Profiling used in the refining
industry today and is listed on four patents related to Temperature measurement. Bob jointed Gayesco-WIKA in 2010 and is currently serving
as Director of Sales Application Specialist for temperature for WIKA globally.
Before joining Gayesco-WIKA, he was Vice President of Sales for Daily
Thermetrics. He is a 1982 graduate of Texas A&M University in Industrial
Shaima Almajed is an Energy Transition Engineer from Saudi Aramco. She holds a Bachelor's degree, Mechanical Engineering from University of North Carolina in Charlotte, USA. Her primary focus is on decarbonization, hydrogen energy, and digitalization.
Shaima has been recognized by the Hydrogen Economist as one of top 50 Women in the hydrogen field for her contribution towards H2 production technology and Combustion. She is constantly evaluating multiple technologies to reduce carbon footprint. She has filed a patent for an innovative concept in Boiler Digital Solutions. Today she is presenting her Testimonial on WIKA technology based on her experience in SA.
Johannes Derfler is a
product engineer, who joined AGRU in 2014, focusing on high-end applications
with highly corrosion-resistant fluoropolymers in the chemical industry. He
holds a master degree in material since and engineering with a focus on plastic
materials, from the University of Applied Sciences, Upper Austria. One of his favorite
applications are sulphuric acid plants.
Piero works as Technology Engineer for Axens Licensing business and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Bologna (Italy).
Since 2019, he has been responsible for the preparation of Technical Proposals at Axens for Sulfur Recovery Unit technologies with the main goal of finding solutions with the best process and catalyst optimization that maximize energy recovery and improve project economics.
Before, he worked as a Proposal Engineer and a Project Engineer for an OEM Company involved in engineering, procurement and fabrication of tailor-made package and modularized units for applications such as: Industrial Refrigeration, Boil-Off Gas Recovery Unit, Gas Compression Unit.
Wolfgang Röhrig is a professional engineer, born in Birkenfeld/ Nahe. Grown up in Saarland, he studied process engineering in Bingen and worked from 1990 to 1999 in the international sales team of a well-known valve manufacturer in Dusseldorf.
Wolfgang Rohrig has been the Managing Director of OHL Gutermuth since 2000 and is now the sole Managing Partner. Wolfgang Rohrig places particular importance on the training and promotion of qualified professionals, both at the company's premises in Altenstadt and via intenational partnerships.
Antonio is a Senior Metallurgy and Corrosion Engineer in ADNOC Sour Gas, Technical Center, he graduated with a Bachelor of Material Engineering at Simon Bolivar University, Venezuela. Antonio has been working at ADNOC Sour Gas for the last 2 years and his extensive experience has contributed to enhance process and Asset Reliability within process facilities.
Nuha Al Hajeri, Sr. Corrosion and Metallurgy Engineer, graduated as Mechanical engineer from Khalifa University. Joined ADNOC sour Gas on 2015 as Integrity Engineer. She contributed on enhancing asset integrity and reliability of plant facilities.
Marcus Weber is Executive Process Director for Fluor. He has over 30 years’ experience in sulfur recovery, carbon capture and power generation industries. He has held a variety of roles in project management, engineering management, construction and commissioning. Mr. Weber received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. He is a licensed professional engineer in California & Texas. Mr. Weber is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute.
Ankit Saxena has worked over 16 years in oil and gas industries India and Middle East. Mr Saxena has expertise is in maintenance & reliability. He has implemented various schemes and strategies related to energy saving, maintain asset integrity, maintenance cost optimization and reliability enhancement in the instrument and control systems.
Mr Hamed Al Hammadi has worked over 10 years in oil and gas industries. Mr AL Hammadi has rich maintenance experience in field instrumentation and control systems. He has completed many projects related to reliability enhancements and maintenance cost optimization. His approach to develop the solution for chronic problems in plant and implement solution to enhance reliability.
Tarek Aboghoniem is a control system engineer at Saudi Aramco –
Uthmaniyah Gas plant with more than 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas
industry for designing and commissioning of integrated control and safety
systems “ICSS” for DCS, ESD and PLC systems. Tarek holds a Bachelor degree in
electrical engineering from Cairo university. Tarek is a certified function
safety engineer and certified Six sigma green belt from university system of
Georgia. He has 2 filed patents in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Al-Bader is a Senior Process Control Engineer at Saudi Aramco – Uthmaniyah Gas
Plant, with over 30 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry for designing
and commissioning of integrated control & safety systems as well as
deployment of advanced process control and optimization technologies. Abdullah
holds a Bachelor degree in Chemical engineering from King Fahad University of
Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. Abdullah has rich
experience in completing several projects related to control systems
reliability enhancements and advanced process control & optimization. He
also has two patents recently filed in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Yusra Alzaabi is an Energy Management Engineer at ADNOC Gas, the UAE’s major supplier of gas related products. She holds B.Eng., degree in Chemical Engineering from khalifa University. Yusra is focused on process optimization, and decarbonization studies. Her ultimate goal is to help positioning energy industry toward a sustainable and low carbon future.
Dara is working as Senior Engineer, Research & Technology at ADNOC Gas, Abu
Dhabi, UAE. His key responsibilities include New
Technology Qualification and Management, Technical Support and Steering for
R&D Projects, Techno-Economic Feasibility studies.
Dara received his master’s degree in chemical engineering from Indian institute
of technology, Madras, India. He started his professional career as process
engineer at General Electric. During his 5-year stint at GE, he worked on coal
gasification and executed several FEED and feasibility projects. He received General
Electric innovation bronze medal in 2010. He moved to The Petroleum Institute
in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2013. As a research engineer, he worked on a few R&D
projects that aimed at improving the performance of ADNOC natural gas
processing plants. He then joined his current role as senior R&D engineer
ADNOC, in 2019.
Dara is the author of one US patent, twenty reputed journal papers and many
Ibrahim Habib is a
process engineer working with Saudi Aramco. He has extensive knowledge in the
amine sweetening and sulfur recovery processes. Moreover, he contributed in
optimizing processes of a natural gas facility within Saudi Aramco. In
addition, his previous experience with loss prevention made him gain solid
knowledge with general oil and gas process safety and local and international
A post-graduate in Energy and Environment Management, Dinesh has 20+
years of experience in Sustainability and climate change domain, supporting
Government Agencies, and large corporates in developing Environmental and
Sustainability policies and strategies. Currently, Dinesh is serving as Senior
Engineer, Environment in ADNOC Gas (Abu Dhabi), involved in conducting feasible
solutions for environment and sustainability improvements, drafting
environmental procedures and guidelines for regulatory compliance,
implementation of environmental management system (EMS ISO 14001) and
identification of new opportunities towards Company’s decarbonization targets.
Prior to joining ADNOC, he has worked with Ernst & Young and Deloitte,
providing advisory services to clients on climate change and sustainability.
Jochen Geiger is now in charge for Business Development in AMETEK Process Instruments after leading for 25 years the Sales and Service Teams offices located in Germany, France, the Middle East and India. He is highly specialized into industrial applications.
Mr. Geiger is a specialist for industrial instrumentation ( Process Analyzers ) in the chemical industry. He has provided training courses in Chemical Plants ; Refineries and Oil and Gas Production Sites around the globe. He is frequently invited as guest speaker for various International Seminars and Meetings.
