Home / Event / Covid requirements

At CRU Events, our priority is the health and safety of clients and colleagues. We will be following the guidelines set out by the Abu Dhabi authorities and Rosewood hotel to ensure a healthy environment which is as safe as possible for all involved in the conference.

At the time of writing (29 April 2022) the following guidelines will be observed:

- Face masks are required in all indoor spaces and physical distancing should be observed. We will ensure appropriate physical distancing measures throughout the conference and exhibition areas.
- Rigorous hygiene and sanitation measures will be in place throughout the hotel and conference area

Entry to the conference, as with most public places and attractions in Abu Dhabi, is only allowed for those that have ‘Green’ status on the Al Hosn app, which requires following the approved testing requirements:
  • Fully vaccinated* travellers must receive a negative PCR test result every 30 days to maintain ‘Green’ status.
  • Unvaccinated delegates must receive a negative PCR result within 48 hours for every day of the event.
  • Visitors with an official vaccine exemption must receive a negative PCR test result every 7 days to maintain ‘Green’ status.
  • International delegates should validate their vaccination or exemption certificate in Abu Dhabi, download the Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship (ICA UAE Smart) app or visit the ica.gov.ae website and attach their vaccination certificate(s) for approval latest 3 days prior to arrival
  • International delegates can activate their green pass by getting a local PCR test on arrival at the airport/ at facilities near the hotel (at the Galleria mall, a 10 min walking distance away).

Further information can be found on the following websites: how to download the Al Hosn app, the Al Hosn Q&A page.

*To be considered as “fully vaccinated”, you must have received two doses of the vaccination approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as well as a booster after 6 months from the last dose. If you have only had two doses but the second dose was taken within the last 6 months, you are still considered vaccinated.

If your last dose was taken more than six months ago by the time of the conference, you are considered as "unvaccinated"; if you have had two doses but did not have a booster after 6 months of your second dose, you are considered as “unvaccinated”.
